Snicket Labs Announces Leadership Transition

Having co-founded and led Snicket Labs as CEO for eight years, Tom Dunning has decided to step back from the role to focus on strategic partnerships, industry engagement and supporting the company’s long-term growth. Effective 24 July 2026, Tom will become Founding Executive Director, with fellow co-founder Mike Duffy assuming the role of CEO. Mike brings eight years of experience at Snicket Labs and has recently been leading on expanding the AI and Agentic offerings within the business. His combination of technical acumen and industry knowledge means he is well placed to lead the business through its next chapter.

The transition marks an important milestone in Snicket Labs’ development and reflects the company’s continued evolution as it enters its next chapter. With both founders remaining actively involved, the business will continue to benefit from their deep technical expertise, industry knowledge and long-standing commitment to customers and innovation.

“It’s a real privilege to take on the CEO role at this stage in Snicket Labs’ journey. We’re entering our next phase with a clear focus, and I’ll be driving that across the business through execution, stronger customer outcomes, and continued growth. Tom’s move to the board is a real asset for us. It frees him up to focus on the M&A and growth opportunities ahead, while keeping his experience and relationships close to the business.”

Alongside this transition, Snicket Labs also announced the appointment of George Kilpatrick as Chair of the Board, with previous Chair Tom Toumazis MBE deciding to step down following a successful period supporting the company’s growth, market focus and professionalisation since taking institutional investment in March 2025. As Snicket Labs enters a new phase of growth, George will bring additional executive support, more time and hands-on leadership.

Kilpatrick brings a career spent at the centre of the media and entertainment industry. He is currently board member and CRO at Overcast HQ, the content data platform for video and has previously held senior leadership roles across content production, digital distribution and cloud development. He was CEO of Masstech Innovations which he sold to Telestream, and Lead for the Media and Entertainment industry practice at Amazon Web Services, working with broadcasters, studios and content owners on their move to cloud. Earlier in his career, Kilpatrick held senior roles at Technicolor, including VP of Digital Product Management, Hollywood and Managing Director and VP of Operations, UK.

“Snicket Labs is solving one of the most pressing operational challenges in media today. After years of investment in producing and storing more content, organisations are now asking harder questions about what they actually own, what it costs them, and what delivers value. Our solution gives clarity to answer those questions, and the team has built something genuinely differentiated. I’m looking forward to working with them as the business scales.”
