We can detect tiny differences between versions such as a single digit of a phone number; changing just the font on the terms & conditions or altering the tone for spoken word.
Fingerprinting not Watermarking
Assure uses our hugely accurate fingerprinting technology. Watermarking involves inserting something invisible into the video to help detect it later. This has two big disadvantages: 1) the invisible image or audio watermark can accidentially become visible, damaging the integrity of the video or audio; 2) the content has to be sent back to the broadcaster must be the version that airs. With fingerprinting: 1) just like your own fingeprint/biometrics, there’s no insertion – just pure recognition so no risk of altered content; 2) We can receive the file minutes before it goes on air and still detect it accurately.
